Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to TeaHoppers.
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the TeaHoppers website and your purchases through our online store.
TeaHoppers offers a curated selection of premium teas from Taiwan and other Asian origins, alongside carefully selected teaware. We operate from Taiwan and ship internationally to destinations supported by our shipping services.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using our website or placing an order.
2. Products and Product Information
TeaHoppers strives to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, prices, and specifications.
However, natural products such as tea may vary slightly in appearance, aroma, flavor, and other characteristics. These variations may result from differences in origin, harvest, cultivar, processing methods, and storage conditions.
Product photographs serve as illustrations. Actual products may present minor differences in color, packaging, or appearance.
Certain teas come from limited harvests or small production batches. Therefore, availability may change depending on the season and remaining stock.
We make reasonable efforts to keep product information accurate and up to date. However, occasional errors or omissions may occur.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights concerning inaccurate descriptions or products that do not conform to the contract.
3. Prices and Payments
All prices appear in the currency indicated on our website.
Prices may change without prior notice. However, price changes will not affect orders already accepted, except where a correction becomes necessary because of an obvious pricing error.
Customers must provide accurate billing, shipping, and contact information when placing an order.
Payment must be completed using the payment methods available at checkout.
TeaHoppers reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order if payment cannot be processed or if reasonable grounds indicate fraudulent activity.
If we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled order.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by applicable law, customers are responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT, tariffs, and other destination-country charges.
4. Order Acceptance and Cancellation
After placing an order, customers should receive an order confirmation by email.
This confirmation acknowledges receipt of the order. It does not necessarily constitute final acceptance if we identify a payment issue, stock discrepancy, pricing error, or suspected fraudulent transaction.
TeaHoppers reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders when justified by legitimate reasons.
If we cannot fulfill an accepted order, we will inform the customer and provide an appropriate refund for the affected products.
Customers who wish to cancel an order should contact us as soon as possible.
We cannot guarantee cancellation once an order enters preparation or shipping. Any cancellation restrictions remain subject to mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
5. Shipping and Delivery
TeaHoppers ships worldwide to destinations supported by Chunghwa Post, Taiwan's postal service.
5.1 Order Preparation
Tea products are generally prepared for shipment within three business days.
Teaware orders may require up to two weeks for preparation before shipment.
These timeframes refer to preparation before dispatch. They do not represent guaranteed delivery dates.
5.2 Shipping Methods
Orders are shipped with tracking information.
Depending on the parcel's weight and dimensions, we use the following services:
-
ePacket for eligible parcels weighing less than 2 kg and meeting the applicable dimensional requirements.
-
International airmail for parcels that do not qualify for ePacket.
Shipping methods depend on destination-country availability and the requirements of Chunghwa Post.
5.3 Delivery Times and Delays
Actual delivery times vary depending on the destination, postal operations, customs inspections, weather conditions, and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Tracking information may not update immediately at every stage of transit.
TeaHoppers cannot guarantee a specific delivery date unless we expressly confirm one.
However, we will provide reasonable assistance when customers report shipping problems.
5.4 Customer Responsibilities
Customers must provide a complete and accurate shipping address.
Additional costs arising from incorrect addresses, failed deliveries, or refused parcels may remain the customer's responsibility, subject to applicable law.
If a parcel returns to TeaHoppers because of an incorrect address, refusal, or failure to collect it, we will contact the customer to discuss the available options.
5.5 Shipping Policy
For further details concerning preparation times, shipping methods, and international delivery, please consult our Shipping Policy.
6. Customs Duties, Import Taxes, and Regulations
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, tariffs, or other charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law, customers are responsible for these charges.
Customers should check their country's import regulations before placing an order.
Tea and teaware may be subject to different import requirements, depending on the destination and applicable regulations.
TeaHoppers cannot guarantee that customs authorities will release every shipment without additional documentation, inspections, charges, or delays.
If a parcel is delayed, held, returned, or refused because of destination-country regulations or unpaid import charges, the customer may be responsible for resulting costs where permitted by applicable law.
TeaHoppers cannot guarantee that every destination will accept every product. Customers should verify applicable restrictions before ordering.
7. Returns and Exchanges
Our return and exchange conditions depend on the type of product purchased.
7.1 Tea Products
Tea products cannot be returned or exchanged, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
This policy reflects the nature of food products and the importance of maintaining product integrity.
7.2 Teaware
Eligible teaware may be returned or exchanged within 30 days, subject to the conditions described in our Return and Exchange Policy.
Products must remain sealed, unopened, unused, and in their original condition to qualify for a return or exchange, where these conditions apply to the product concerned.
Customers must contact TeaHoppers before returning any item to receive return instructions.
7.3 Return Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or other fees associated with returning an item.
TeaHoppers will cover reasonable return costs only when the return results from an error attributable to TeaHoppers, such as sending an incorrect product.
7.4 Applicable Consumer Rights
Our return policy does not remove mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
Where applicable legislation grants customers a right to withdraw from a purchase or obtain a remedy for defective or incorrectly described products, those rights prevail over any conflicting provision in this policy.
Please consult our Return and Exchange Policy for further details.
8. Product Availability
Product availability may change without notice.
Certain teas come from limited harvests or small production batches. Consequently, a product may become unavailable after a customer places an order.
If we cannot fulfill an accepted order, we will contact the customer and arrange an appropriate refund for the unavailable products.
We may discontinue products or introduce new selections at any time.
9. Proper Use and Storage of Tea
Customers should follow the storage instructions provided with each product, where applicable.
Tea quality can deteriorate through inappropriate storage, including exposure to moisture, excessive heat, light, or strong odors.
TeaHoppers cannot guarantee product quality after delivery if customers store or handle products improperly.
Customers should review product descriptions and ingredient information before purchasing, particularly if they have allergies or specific dietary requirements.
Tea descriptions reflect the characteristics of the products and do not constitute medical advice or guarantees of health benefits.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the TeaHoppers website, including text, photographs, logos, graphics, product descriptions, and website design, belongs to TeaHoppers or its respective rights holders, unless otherwise indicated.

However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted website access or the complete absence of technical errors.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TeaHoppers shall not be responsible for indirect losses arising from website interruptions, postal delays, customs procedures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
This section does not remove any mandatory consumer rights concerning delivery, product conformity, refunds, or defective products.
